Saint-Emilion day Tour : Food and Wine escape

The guide conduct the tour in English.

Depart from the city center of Bordeaux aboard a van to discover Saint-Emilion, its wines, and its history. First, your guide will immerse you in the history of this UNESCO World Heritage site and its historical monuments through a village visit. You will discover the secrets of this medieval town, which is the birthplace of Bordeaux viticulture.

At noon, a visit and tasting of 3 wines will await you in a castle of the appellation. On the menu, a picnic from an artisanal and traditional caterer, who proposes fresh, local and tasty products, presented in the form of jars, as well as charcuterie from the Basque Country and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of wine!

Afterwards, you will visit a second castle and enjoy a tasting of 2 wines. You will learn more about the specificities of this appellation, including the grape varieties and the wine making techniques used to create these unique wines. To finish the day, you will go to another chateau for a final tasting of 3 wines.

This tour in a small group and in an ideal setting will allow you to learn about the art of winemaking and tasting, and to ask all your questions to our guide!

Don’t forget to take your water bottle to fill it up in the morning, at Olala Bordeaux we are committed to limiting our plastic waste!

The chateaux and the schedule may vary, but the quality of the offer will remain the same.

Children under 16 and pets are not allowed for the comfort of the group, so a private tour will be more suitable in your case.

Meet your tour guide at Olala’s workshop, situated at 2 ter Mably street in Bordeaux center. We drive to Saint-Emilion as a small group (8 persons maximum), on a modern and comfortable minivan;
10.15am
Walking guided visit of Saint-Emilion village, a marvellous UNESCO site.
11.30am
Visit of a 1st Wine Estate & tasting of 3 great wines from the Château.
12.30pm
Picnic lunch at the château : enjoy local and fresh products, accompanied by a glass of wine (Vegetarian option available on reservation).
1.45pm
Visit of a 2nd estate, and friendly tasting of their wines
3.15pm
Tasting in a 3rd Château.
